F1の公式タイヤサプライヤーであるピレリが、5月28日、29日、フランスのポール・リカール・サーキットでタイヤ開発テストを行った。今回協力したのはフェラーリとレッドブル・ホンダだった。

　ピレリは、シーズン中、数回にわたり、各チームの協力の下、2020年用タイヤ開発テストを行う計画で、今回はウエットタイヤのテスト作業が行われた。

　28日、フェラーリからはレースドライバーふたりが参加。午前中はセバスチャン・ベッテルが64周、午後にはシャルル・ルクレールが46周を、インターミディエイトとフルウエットタイヤのプロトタイプで走行した。レッドブル・ホンダはピエール・ガスリーを起用。ガスリーは108周を走りこんだ。

　テスト2日目の29日は、レッドブル・ホンダのみが参加。マックス・フェルスタッペンが90周を走行した。

　次回のピレリタイヤテストは、オーストリアGP後のレッドブルリンクで開催される予定。
